Philly Cycle Works is a bicycle manufacturing facility as well as a retail location and a cafe. It is meant to be a terminus location on the viaduct in Northern Philadelphia that creates a resting place as well as an educational experience about the creation of bicycles. The factory itself takes full advantage of natural light with two large atrium clear stories as well as a large skylight system over the cafe. The building ties into the viaduct on two levels and encourages visitors to enter and experience the building from every angle. The new location is meant to become a point of interest in the highly industrial Callowhill area that is in need of a rebirth.
